Think about it. The only way that you can support your troops is by flying to Iraq and actually joining in. All else is just talk.
keep talking, frank.

radio, I've never used that slogan yet you have... So, what do you mean by it?

>for their safe return

Be practical... In real terms, how is the best way to do that?

Well, it would have been to have never left in the first place. But what's done is done. (from a practical/resigned surrender viewpoint of the matter).
The best way to assure their safe return is to pull out now. Get out. Regime change begins at home. That is practical. That is not the deluded vision of american emperors. Regime change from without is a dream. (Imagine if someone desired to change our regime...agree with bush or not, we'd all fight the invader.)
Save what is left of our dignity and respect.
But I do fear that for a long time after this, america will be the object of the silent hatred from the majority in this world.

What Radio said.

I'm not sure why the concept of "no war = no US military casualties = full support of their lives" is so difficult for certain people to grasp.

>But what's done is done.

Correct, the war is on...

>The best way to assure their safe return is to pull out now.

What's the chance of that happening? Be honest... I say ZERO chance, what say you?

Seeing that "pull out now" wont happen then what do you mean (in real life terms) by "I support the troops."

There is an equal motivation of protest to stop future "preventive" wars from occuring (which would stop our troop from combat).

The question itself is worded such to be inflammatory and rather shallow and suggestive.
Support can come in many forms depending upon your poitical beliefs and definition of support (i.e., immediate short-term or sustaining long-term)
So those of us who opposed this intervention, can and have been assisting the families of those in theater, families with needs to cope and be of help when needed. Alot of moms and children left here at home with some 200,000+ troops overseas. We help with stuff like picking kids up, watching them, shopping, assisting with household chores/duties, yardwork, and lend emotional support.

Realistically speaking. WE cannot begin to speak in terms of reality. We stand watching madmen in DC acting out their dreams and wishes, not our dreams, not our HOUSE is that which they seek to repair.
Realistically speaking, let's 'outvote' Bush in 2004. This is the surest way to assure that our troops are safe. I support our troops. I will not vote for Bush.
How do YOU support our troops, frank?

Didn't work the last time

Good point, not about my question, but the slogans used by the anti-war crowd. These slogans are just tripe and feel-goodisms lacking real substance.

I guess you see, radio, that YOU can not come up with an answer.

I support the troops by contacting my elected officials and demanding a swift victory and letting the "troops" do what they do best... kill people and blow-up stuff. Face it guys! That *IS* what troops do best.

Right, and your suggestions have been nothing but the uncertain and unfound delusions and halucinogenic ramblings of a warmong er?
Sorry but nothing realistic has been said by the prowar camp except the blind endorsement of the status quo. This is just as realistic as the view seen from the left.

Just because you disagree with an answer does not mean that it hasn't been sufficient.
I have answered. Now who's being unrealistic and ignoring the reality (of my having answered your question a few posts up)?

Frank, what if a swift victory is impossible?
wouldn't that make your viewpoint a bit...unrealistic?

radio, you gave no answer to how you support the troops, you only gave future political aspirations...
